The much-discussed Bollywood comedy Taxi No. 9211 is now being remade in Tamil by G.V. Films. The proposed name was Taxi, but keeping in line with the trend of having Tamil names, the producers are now looking for a Tamil title for this movie.Taxi No. 9211 starred Nana Patekar and John Abraham. In the Tamil version of this movie, Pasupathi will do the role of Nana Patekar. The actor to play John Abraham’s role has not yet been decided.
In the Hindi version, actress Sonali Kulkarni (who had worked in May Matham in Tamil) paired up with Nana Patekar. In the Tamil version, Simran is said to pair up with Pasupathi even though it features Sonali Kulkarni too.
The film’s screenplay will be written by Lakshmikanthan.
It is very thoughtful of the filmmakers to have cast Pasupathi in the role of Nana Patekar. He is a very good actor who will do justice to the role performed by Nana, as both of them have some common style of acting and deportment.
Pasupathi is currently working in Kuselan and Vedigundu Murugesan.
