The most ‘in’ couple of last season’s Twenty20 tournament in India, the twosome was found to shy away from each other even when they achieved victory and the team’s management was celebrating on the grounds.
At the start of the IPL, there was also buzz in Bollywood that Preity had written e-mails to her team King’s XI, boosting their morale, and saying that their commitment to the game should not be affected even though she and Ness are no longer together. The bubbly actress has still not openly confirmed the breakup, but has denied doing any such thing.
She has been noted as saying to a reporter, “I'm not dating anyone right now. If I did, I wouldn't hide it. But whatever the status of my heart, I'm certainly not the kind of person who would send out emails to people about my love life.”
“Do I owe my team members an explanation on my love life?” she asked.
So it looks like pretty Preity is single, and she’s happy to be so.
Preity also states that it has always been her principle not to date a married man or an actor. Now, she’s added one more category to this list – cricketers. “One doesn't go out with people whom one works with, it's as simple as that,” the actress quips.
