Kareena to get hot with Shahrukh

Sexy diva Kareena Kapoor is going to be hot with Shahrukh Khan as she has signed a hot item number with him in his forthcoming film, Billoo Barber. King Khan will be seen getting cozy not only with Kareena Kapoor but with sensational Deepika Padukone also. Both of the gals have been signed by Red Chillies Entertainment. Bebo played the leading lady of Shahrukh in Asoka and after a long gap she will be seen again opposite him. With this song, Deepika will make her debut in item numbers. <BR><BR>Billoo Barber is a story of two friends, one is rich and the other is poor. They drifted apart in their school days and reunited after long years. Shahrukh plays the role of a rich man and Irrfan Khan plays the role of the poor man. Billoo Barber is an adaptation of the story of the Krishna-Sudama friendship and is said to be a remake of the superhit Malayalam film Kadha Parayaumbol.

Actor Jiiva’s next film is Kobam and it has a very big name attached to it for a director – Seeman. Seeman is a very noteworthy director of Kollywood, who began his career as an assistant to Director Bhagyaraj. He has directed big hits like Vazhthukkal, Thambi, and Iniyavalae. Seeman has also acted in movies like Pallikoodam and Evano Oruvan. Now he is all set to direct Jiiva (Actor Jeeva recently underwent a name change and henceforth will be known as Jiiva) in a movie.

Actor Jiiva is awaiting his movie Thenavettu’s release. Thenavettu has got rave reviews from film pundits even before its release. Jiiva gained quite a lot of fame with his movies like Ram, E, Dishyum, and Katradhu Tamizh. He is fast becoming an established Tamil film hero. This film is definitely away from the usual love-based storylines that Kollywood is used to. It is about 6 individuals who get caught in a situatios that happens at 10:10 p.m. during a cricket match between Indian and Pakistan.

The film stars Sona, Sanjith, Thalaivasal Vijay, Venkat, Krishna, and Ashish. Along with Sona, the film also has Abhinayshree, Laksha, Priyanka, and Bhoomika, all of whom add to the glamour quotient of this movie.

Gemini becomes film producer

Gemini Labs, which is undergoing a major overhaul to be able to cater to technical needs of Kuselan’s special effects, has decided to expand up its modes of income.

Gemini Labs, who are on the verge of becoming the best film labs in India by this overhaul, have now decided to foray into film production too.

In that line, it has decided to make two films for the beginning; one film with Arya and another with Dhanush. At present, it is in the process of selecting a suitable storyline for these artists. Once it is settled, the plans will materialize.

Looking at the way Gemini Labs is ramping up for Kuselan, one can say it will not leave any stone unturned in film production either. So we are sure to have two blockbusters from them pretty soon. It sure augurs well for Arya and Dhanush too.

Chennaiyil Oru Mazhaikkalam

The shooting for Gautham Menon's much-discussed Chennaiyil Oru Mazhaikkalam begins today.

This film has Trisha alongside four new faces, who are marking their debut in films as actors. Some of them are not new to cinema though. The four new guys are: Gautham’s assistant Veera, Shaam (SS music VJ), Sathish (a dancer who did a cameo in Unnale Unnale), and Karthik (actress Sridevi’s nephew and brother of actress Maheswari).

The film's title brings a deja vu feeling? No wonder! That's because the photo shoot for this film was done in 2007. For some reason, the shooting was delayed and now, it has finally started.

Music is by A.R.Rahman. The film, produced by P. Madan and J. Ganesh, also introduces a new cinematographer, Manoj Paramahamsa.
