Rachael Mullenix CSI actress Barbara Mullenix and murdered

Barbara was murdered in the early hours of the day on September 13, 2006. A butter knife was found seated in her eye socket when her body was found by the police. Rachael’s then boyfriend, 21, Ian Allen had confessed to the murder single handedly. Rachael was 17 when the incident took place.

The manufacturing plan reduces GM’s total number of assembly, powertrain and stamping facilities in the U.S. from 47 in 2008 to 34 by the end of 2010 and 33 by 2012. These totals reflect GM’s recently announced plans to build a future small car in the U.S. Under this plan, the New GM will achieve full capacity utilization of its assembly operations in 2011, two years ahead of what was scheduled in its Feb. 17 viability plan submission. This will result in lower fixed costs per vehicle sold, and lower and more efficient capital investment.

The New GM, under agreement with the U.S. Treasury, will consist of GM’s strongest operations and brands from around the world, resulting in substantially less debt and lower operating costs than GM historically has carried.

“Our manufacturing operations, which already are among the most productive in the industry, will emerge even leaner, stronger and more flexible, as part of the New GM, ” said Gary Cowger Group Vice President of GM Global Manufacturing and Labor Relations. “Flexible manufacturing enables us to quickly respond to consumer preferences and changing market conditions.”

An Air France plane was missing on over Atlantic after storm

PARIS (Reuters) - An Air France plane with 228 people on board disappeared over the Atlantic Ocean on its way from Brazil to Paris on Monday after hitting strong turbulence and French officials said they feared a disaster.

The Brazilian force said the Airbus jet was well advanced over the sea when it went missing and military planes took off from both South America and Africa to hunt for the plane.

Flight AF 447 had 228 people on board - including some Britons according to the passenger list - and was flying from Rio de Janeiro to Paris when all contact was lost.

Flight AF 447 left Rio de Janeiro on Sunday at 7 p.m. (2200 GMT) and had been expected to land at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport on Monday at 11:15 a.m. (0915 GMT).

The carrier said 216 passengers were on board, including seven children and one baby, and 12 crew members. Air France said the pilots were highly experienced.

Senior French government minister Jean-Louis Borloo ruled out the possibility of a hijacking.

"It's an awful tragedy," Borloo told France Info radio.

The jet's last known location was unclear and Brazil's Air Force said it lost contact with the plane at 0133 GMT.

LTTE Chief Prabhakaran Shot Dead

tamil Tiger Supremo of Tamil Eelam Velupillai Prabhakaran has been shot dead by the Lankan troops, the Sri Lankan army has said. The LTTE chief Prabhakaran body has also been found by the Sri Lankan army, which has identified the body. This news first announced by Sri Lanka Government channel (today).

Prabhakaran and his top aides came out of their last hiding place in a small convoy of van and an ambulance and tried to drive out of the war zone, but were gunned down, he said. The army is withholding an official announcement till a DNA test of the bodies is conducted.

The deaths of the top LTTE leaders came a day after Tamil Tigers conceded defeat saying the decades-old battle has reached its "bitter end" and they have decided to "silence" their guns. The army said that its special forces had encircled Prabhakaran, Pottu Aman and Soosoi who were boxed into a 100m x 100m area.
